Knowledge Mobilization for Sustainability Solutions.
Using systems thinking in education, design, and multi-media storytelling.
Hello and welcome. I am an assistant professor of STEM and Sustainability Education in the School of Education at the University of Cincinnati.
My work weaves sustainability solutions with educational equity across education, organizations, and communities. I teach, I serve, I create media, and I advocate for sustainable urban development. If you are looking for help in this field, let’s connect.
My three areas of focus
Sustainability Education
I have taught every grade level between 6th grade to doctorate. Be it experiential and project-based learning to daily in-class and online instruction, I have over a decade of experience in curriculum development and design, writing and thought leadership along with research, speaking, lecturing and associate faculty appointments.
I am available for curriculum design, program planning, teaching, speaking and co-authorship.
Sustainability Storytelling
From starting a humble sustainability magazine show on college radio to reporting on science, health and sustainability for public radio, I’ve produced hundreds of stories on people enacting change. I recently hosted and produced a circular economy podcast and consult using my design frameworks for sustainability storytelling.
I am available for podcast/broadcast production, hosting, editing, story workshops and narration.
Sustainability Advocacy
I believe in action for local sustainability development. My work on boards and leadership positions has helped increase urban canopy while discouraging auto-centric growth. By fostering urban green spaces and safe pedestrian mobility, we can spur local economic opportunity and help foster a welcoming community for all.
I am available for advisory or directory boards, non-profit organization/community consulting.
